As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and academic excellence, TBS Education is taking a major step forward by integrating generative AI into its learning environment. Starting in October 2025, the school will roll out 2,000 Mistral licenses to students, faculty, and staff.

Mistral TBS Education

Empowering learning, teaching, and research with AI

The initiative is designed to support the needs of TBS Education’s entire community:

  • Staff will benefit from a smart assistant to save time, streamline tasks, and focus on higher-value activities.
  • Faculty and researchers will be able to leverage AI for pedagogical design and research support, with full respect for academic integrity and confidentiality standards.
  • Students will gain hands-on experience with advanced AI tools, learn to use them responsibly, and sharpen their critical thinking while boosting their study efficiency.

A large-scale pilot to shape future practices

The first phase of the rollout will include teaching and administrative teams across all campuses, as well as final-year Bachelor, Grande École, and MSc students. This large-scale pilot project will allow the school to test, evaluate, and refine practices before considering a broader deployment.

To ensure effective adoption, dedicated training programs, expert advisors, and practical case studies will be provided. After twelve months, a comprehensive review will determine whether to expand the initiative further.

A strong commitment to responsible AI

This partnership with Mistral builds on TBS Education’s responsible AI strategy. Back in 2023, the school was among the first higher education institutions to adopt a charter for the educational use of large language models. It also relies on its AI & Business Analytics Center of Excellence, where researchers work on cutting-edge projects with real-world impact.

According to Stéphanie Lavigne, Dean of TBS Education:
“AI does not replace critical thinking or academic rigor — it amplifies them. Through this large-scale pilot, we are making responsible AI use a defining element of our pedagogy and of our mission to serve a more sustainable economy.”
