Master in Management (MiM) or Master of Science (MSc): two prestigious degrees that often leave students wondering which path is right for them. While both programs lead to a Master’s degree recognized in France and internationally, they cater to different needs and profiles. TBS Education breaks down these two programs to help you make the choice that best aligns with your career goals.
The Master in Management (MiM), the international equivalent of the French Grande École Program, is one of the flagship programs of leading business schools worldwide. Designed for students with a bachelor’s degree, the program typically spans one to three years, depending on the year of entry and chosen pathway.

1. A generalist approach
From the very first year, students gain comprehensive exposure to key business disciplines — including finance, marketing, strategy, human resources, and entrepreneurship. The program is not a rigid, pre-set path: the Master in Management allows students to explore different areas before choosing their specialization, which typically takes place in the final year, through numerous double-degree options. TBS Education offers over 100 double-degree options across our Toulouse, Paris, and Barcelona campuses, as well as through our 160 partner universities worldwide.
2. Academic excellence as a benchmark
Ranked among the top master’s programs in Europe (Financial Times and QS rankings), our Master in Management awards a state-recognized degree, acknowledged both in France and internationally. The program perfectly combines academic excellence with hands-on experience. Students benefit from rigorous teaching led by our expert faculty researchers and learn from external speakers — including industry experts and company leaders — for a learning experience grounded in real-world realities.
3. Student experience at the heart of the journey
The MiM offers far more than academic training: it provides a highly personalized learning journey. Between international exchanges across our three European campuses and our 160 partner universities worldwide, internships in France or abroad, gap years dedicated to personal projects and hands-on projects with companies like Airbus or L’Oréal, each student builds a unique path combining academic excellence with an international outlook.
Life on campus is just as vibrant, with more than 30 student associations covering culture, sports, entrepreneurship, and more. The MiM is far more than a degree: it’s an unforgettable personal and professional adventure where your future begins to take shape.

“I joined the Master in Management program at TBS Education in September 2024, and it has been an inspiring start to my journey. Coming from a bachelor’s in International Business in Rome, I was drawn to the program’s international reputation, triple accreditation, and opportunities for double degrees. I really value how the program lets students shape their own path through career services and a wide range of options during the last year. Beyond academics, student life is vibrant, with clubs and events making it easy to feel at home.” Leonardo Agresti, Italy, 2025 Master in Management student

These two paths aren’t mutually exclusive. TBS Education offers double-degree options, allowing you to combine the MiM’s versatility with the MSc’s specialized expertise. This combination, usually possible from the final year of the Master in Management, maximizes employability by providing both a broad strategic vision and highly sought-after technical expertise in the industry.
The decision mainly depends on three factors: your professional maturity, academic background, and aspirations for student experience.
If you have a clear vision of the career you want to pursue and already possess a solid foundational education, the MSc can propel you efficiently toward your goals. If you prefer to take the time to explore, experiment, and gradually build your path, the MiM offers the opportunity to develop your project thoughtfully.
Remember, your success will depend more on your dedication and the effort you put into your journey than on the degree itself. Both programs offer great opportunities: it’s up to you to choose the one that fits your goals and personality best.
