Maria Elvira GAVIRIA: M2C English track. 30 years old, Colombian.
Coming to TBS has been a very constructive and positive process in my life, not only professionally but personally. It took me a couple of years to make the decision of leaving everything I knew behind, and move to France. A year ago, I decided it was time to take “the risk”, and give my life a new perspective. Today I think it is the best decision I could have made.
The M2C program combines everything I wanted to specialize in my career. It focuses not only in marketing, but also in communications, which, I think, gives more skills to the future alumni. It differentiates us from other marketers in the field, and gives us a complete comprehension of the industry.
The university has excellent professors, people with very interesting careers and wide knowledge of the marketing and communication field. They will give their best to help you deploy your skills, advice to explore your potential and guidance to develop you professional plans.
TBS is also a multicultural university, which has given me the opportunity to meet people from every corner of the world, and understand the similarities and differences with my own culture; how and what can I learn from them and what can I bring to the equation in order to become better people and professionals.
Not knowing French has not been a problem. France is a very welcoming country and everywhere you go, you can find someone who will try to help you. None the less, I strongly recommend to try to learn the language, if not before, at least during your stay. It will make it easier for you to make new friends and it will help you to adapt faster to the French culture.
I know now my life will be better thanks to this opportunity of studying at TBS. My world is wider and more reachable and I will always thank TBS for that.
Don´t hesitate to come to TBS. You won’t regret it.
