Embark on a Multi-Country Experience | Toulouse & Barcelona
What is on the agenda ?
TBS Education’s Summer School is not all about academics – there’s more! A diverse selection of cultural and social activities will be organized during the TBS Education Summer School for students to get to know each other, to discover the local area, to learn about local business….and to enjoy themselves!
Arrive in the Pink City and start your aventure! Students will be accommodated close by the TBS Education Dowtown Campus in Toulouse (located at 20 Boulevard Lascrosses). Restaurants, transportation stations, and convinence shops will be within walking distance. Additionnaly, students will be able to quickly & easily go around Toulouse using their transportation pass. The TBS Summer School Team will also give their best recommendations to enjoy what the city & French culture has best to offer!
2. Medieval City: Carcassonne Day Trip
Network with participants from around the world while visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site at Carcassonne. Students will leave from downtown Toulouse with a private bus to arrive in Carcassonne. A visit of the medival city will be included, during which students understand French history and the importance of winemaking in the region.
3. Company Visits
Understand the French corporate world and what it means to do business in Spain. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to meet with companies in both countries. These company visits are picked to fit the courses offered during the Summer School, or to get to know major companies and business fundamentals in specific fiels where France and Spain excel at.
4. Kayaking and Boat Tour
Discover the Gorges du Tarn while kayaking along the river Tarn just outside Toulouse. The kayaking trip includes departure from Downtown Toulouse with a private bus to reach the canyons in the Tarn region.
While in Barcelona, students will take a Goleta boat trip to get new perspective on city sightseeing. Departure will be from Port Vell, a harbor in Barcelona which connects La Rambla (main street) to the Mediterrenean Sea.
Travel to Catalonia region of Spain that is home to landmark designers like Antoni Gaud and the Sagrada Família church that is being built over generations. On top of its beaches and harbors, Barcelona is an amazing cultural and innovation hub. Its museum, theatres, historical monuments maintain the authenticity of the city, while Barcelona renews itself by hosting more than 2000 start-ups companies in new mordern districts.
While in Barcelona, students will study in our newly opened campus (located at Carrer de Veneçuela, 116). Public transportation, a shopping mall and restaurants are all within walking distance. Additonnaly, students will be accommodated only a few minutes from our campus.
6. Coastal City Visit: Sitges Day Trip
Refine your knowledge of the arts by taking a day trip to the beach city of Sitges. Famous for its beaches, film festival and carnival students will enjoy learning about Spanish culture.
Other activities within the program include: welcome ceremony, guided tours, museum visits, team building events, closing ceremony, themed evenings, and other informal social gatherings.
Where will I stay ?
As a part of the TBS Education Summer School experience, students have access to a Hospitality Package.This covers the full 6-week stay in Toulouse and Barcelona.

The provided accommodation is close to the TBS Education campus, public transportation and shops in the center. It includes a fully furnished room and private bathroom (with a private or shared kitchen). In a secured residence, with a Front Desk service, students will also have access to other services (common spaces, laundry room, etc.
The hospitality package also includes a local transportation card for both cities allowing you to unlimitidely travel around in the cities. TBS Education wants you to have an enjoyable summer so we’ve planned for everything.
